ONLINE CLASSES- PROBLEM, ADVANTAGE AND EXPERIENCES

In this pandemic, everything is closed --- schools, small and big shops, factories, offices, college, courts etc. Whole world has been stopped by pressing the brakes of Covid-19. However, only one thing has helped our lives from getting a full stop and that is “Technology”. The WFH (Work from Home), online classes etc. are one of the types by which we are sitting in our cozy home doing classes, jobs etc.

 

Today I am going to talk about online classes which have helped the students very much this year. If there were no school then a precious year would have wasted and these future citizen’s future would have been in danger. However, online classes helped us in overcoming this situation for us. In succeeding lines I am going to bring out the advantage, disadvantage and my experience on Online class.

 

Advantage

Online classes have helped us very much as today we are studying at our homes without any exposure to the disease. Online classes have less cost due to a variety of reasons like, the cost of the buses we use to travel to schools, our struggle of waking up at 5 am in the morning, all are now not in use as we are sitting in our homes but the use of computers are more than our normal days. Because of the online class students are able to experience new form of education.  This type of education has taught us many things that we need in our future. And the biggest advantage is that you can attend classes from anywhere.

 

Disadvantage

There are many problems that we face during online classes. As we are doing it online so we have to depend on the network. Sometimes we miss our studies due to network issue or less access to devices. Schools are also reducing syllabus as they are not able to take much classes as it was used to be, if they take then the eyes and brains of the students are in danger. In online class you have to take responsibility of your own studies, as teachers are not able to help the students as they use to guide earlier during normal schooling days.

Experience

In this new form of studies, I have learned many things which I think we would not experience in our daily school. I even couldn’t imagine that one day we would have to study in online way. First when lock down was announced, our school was closed, our teachers used to send the PDF of the chapters, some videos for our understanding and notes to write in our notebooks. Then after some months they decided to take the classes in a virtual way that we, the students could again learn like we used to do in our school.  Months passed then the time came for our exams, they decided to take the exams in MCQs in the google forms.

 After the first sets of exam, it came the mid-term exam which is very important for us so the teachers thought of taking the exams in subjective questions also, but the question was how they will take the mathematics test, as we have to use signs which was not possible in virtually, So they found a new feature “add file” in which we have to upload the photos of our answer sheets in our question paper. Now every thing is easy for us. No corona virus can stop our studies. After so many months I have realized that in this situation we have to take own responsibility for our studies, as our parents, our school and teachers, all are working hard for our studies and we should also help ourselves taking this simple responsibility.
